So there I was, talking to the owner of this boatyard where I was thinking of laying up Emily this winter (got to think ahead you know). We were talking about wind and such things, and I mentioned model flying. Straight away he said he liked to fly models too, whenever he gets the time, which is rarely with a boatyard to look after. He goes to a local mountain that has a good south to southwest slope and a bog to land in/on. Hello All.New here so thought I'd introduce myself.We moved to the Sheep's Head in the Independent People's Republic of West Cork nearly 2 years ago, from Cornwall in the UK.I've been model flying, on and off, since I was about 8. Then it was making up rubber powered models from free plans in magazines.Now it's mostly slope, but starting to get into electric, and even eletric helis.You know what it's like moving house! Hi guysI’m a new member from Kerry, thought I’d just introduce myself!I'm a relative newbie to RC. I did some free-flight and control line stunt models as a kid, I only got back into modeling at the age of 50, through an impulse buy of the DeAgostini Spitfire part magazine! That model clearly is not for learners, so I started exploring what else is out there. I find that I am leaning more and more towards gliders, although I have a weakness for jet-type models as well.
